What's happening?

When Tommy and I arrived to "La Laguna" (laguna = lagoon) yesterday, we noticed that something was different...

... all these guys on the shore, only one in the water, we were puzzled about it.
What was happening?

After a while we saw the sign: "PELIGRO, PROHIBIDO NADAR" (Danger, swimming prohibited)...

... and "PROHIBIDO ENTRAR A LA LAGUNA" (Entering the lagoon is prohibited)

That was it!! These smart guys were just following the law ;)

Hello guys!!

Ami, it was fun to get the pics, it was an amazing view, we were really curious about it :)

Chrisss, thanks!! They are so cute there's no way the pics could come out bad!

Mary!! It made us laugh too, after a while they were happy in the water, but when we arrived they looked so serious and concerned, haha, it did look like if it was indeed the signs!

Sandpiper, it is funny now, at that moment it was sooo weird!! haha

Bird Girl, they are so smart! They are fun to be around. When they get close to you, you can tell they do have distinctive personalities ;)

Hi JJ, thanks for the comment! The truth is, cute guys make cute posts ;)

You have such intelligent birds -- and so law abiding too.

Thanks for the chuckle.

LOL....you're so lucky to have such intelligent waterfowl in Peru, Mel!
(the last picture is my fave--looks exactly like that duck is reading the sign!)

You are amazingly talented. You don't need to go look for a job. You could just market your photos and writings. You ought to go to this link:http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/myshot/
and set up a free page on MY SHOT at NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC. I am going to do it and thought of you. Good luck! And Big Hugs, Robin
