A bird or two

Time hasn't been a friend lately.

I haven't been able to go birding, missed a pelagic and my thesis is way waaaay behind.

At least I've managed to take a couple of walks with Tommy around the house or while visiting family over the weekend.

I miss birds!! I miss watching them feed or groom, picking little twigs or materials for their nests or fighting for the best spot in the tree or the bush. I miss finding common birds with not so common features and just staring at them for ages. I miss finding them staring at me!

I want TIME, can anyone help me with that?

We understand what you mean, it has taken Mike and I a little longer to get out birding with moving his Mom but patiently we were able find time to get out there.

Oh I understand you too! When I worked in the office I had almost no time for anything personal at all. Thanks for my hubby who always took me to evening forest walks. May be you should try taking even small quiet walks in the evening too? Do you have a park or some place that you can visit in the evening to watch birds or just relax?

Time is the only thing in life given to us by our creator and is the one thing that many around us will try to take away. We must guard our time with a passion always ready to defend ourselves against those who would deprive us of it; employers, relatives etc.

Good luck, consider your time precious and make sure that no mater how busy your schedule that you carve out some time for the things that you and Tommy enjoy.

¡Hola a todos!

Mike and Lizette,
Thank you for your always encouraging words, I know you have your own challenges. I send all my best wishes!

David,
I really hope they are waiting for me! I miss birds :(

Dr. Monkey,
Winter has been strange for some weeks, very sunny and nice, but now it is more like it is suppose to be, grey and depressing :S

Alu,
I wish I could do something on the evenings, but I leave the house at 7am to go to work, and arrive home most times a bit past 8pm. Sadly, there are no places to go birding on lunch break, and as I don't have a car, distances can be a real problem.

Ruthie,
I'll knock on your door some day, and you'll have to take me birding and teach about nature and its creatures ;)

Sekhar,
I'll definetely will try to do so!

Coy,
Those are very wise words. We do try, but sometimes it doesn't work the way we want. But we'll keep on trying :)

Bhavesh,
Yes, that is universal, isn't it?

Dawn,
I'll have to ask for a break soon, before the thing that breaks is me!
